Scientific Programs of Dream Jogja 2012
The Scientific Program division of 1st DREAM (Dental Research Exhibition and Meeting) Committee 2012 invites all dentists and students all over Indonesia to submit the abstracts for oral, poster, 3M Case report and Dentistry Eco-Green competition. This is a remarkable opportunity to all dentists and dental students all over Indonesia to come together on promoting the progress of Indonesian oral health sciences. The topic areas will include:
- Biomedical Sciences
- Pediatric Dentistry
- Conservatives of Dentistry
- Community and Preventive Dentistry
- Oral Medicine
- Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
At DREAM 2012, dentist and dental student are invited to submit their research work. If the abstract(s) is accepted, authors will be given the chance to present their work either in the form of an oral presentation or a poster presentation. Each submission will be peer reviewed. Please read the following instructions carefully before proceeding to submit your abstract(s) for the symposium.
Submission of an abstract does not constitute registration for the Seminar. Presenting authors are encouraged to submit their registration together with their abstracts. The DREAM 2012 Abstract Submission Form and the Abstract Template will be available at www.dreamjogja.com. The 1st DREAM Abstract Submission Form and the abstract, prepared on the 1st DREAM 2012 Abstract Template, must be submitted for each abstract. Abstracts must be submitted via email to reach the 1st DREAM Secretariat before February 10th, 2012.
Notifications of acceptance will be sent to corresponding authors by February 15th 2012. Upon receipt of this notification, presenting authors are required to register themselves before 1st March 2012 if they have not already done so.
Extended abstracts or paper submission for proceeding should also be submitted upon receiving the notification by before 1st March 2012. Extended abstract or Proceeding paper template may be downloaded from http://www.dreamjogja.com. Corresponding authors are responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have read and approved the abstract submitted. Submissions not conforming to established submission guidelines would not be reviewed.
Only abstracts prepared on the 1st DREAM 2012 Abstract Template will be accepted.
Abstracts must be typed, single-spaced, using Calibri typeface in 10-point size only. Abstract text must be single line spaced and justified at the left margin only. Do not leave blank lines between paragraphs. Do not indent.
Abstract title should appear in upper case and bold. Do not indent. The title should be concise and reflect the content of the abstract.
Use first name followed by last name. Omit degrees. For paper submissions, place an asterisk (*) after the name of the author presenting the paper. On a separate line, type as succinctly as possible the names of institutions and countries.
Leave two lines blank in between the title/author block and the abstract text. The abstract text should includebackground, methods, results, and conclusion.
Each abstract may contain up to a maximum of 300 words, excluding title, authors and institutions, and should not include images/tables.
Use italics only when appropriate (e.g. for names of genus and species).
Abstracts will be published as submitted, i.e. any error appearing in the submitted abstract will appear in the published abstract book.
Each abstract must be submitted in electronic form as a MS Word for Windows document.
Title of Abstracts:
The title page should contain the following information in order given: (1) Full title of the manuscript with first letters of the main words capitalized, (2) Full names of all authors with initials and last names. Use superscript numbers to relate authors to different department or institutions, (3) Authors institutional affiliation including city and country, (4) A running title in italic, not to exceed 45 letters, (5) The name, e-mail address of the corresponding author. The author must list 3-5 key words for indexing purposes.
Contents of Abstracts:
The word limit for abstract is 300 words. Title, authors, and authors’ affiliation are not included in the 300 words limit. The abstract must contain the following elements: objective, methods, results – data and statistical analysis, and conclusion.
Competition is planned. All poster and paper presenters are invited to enter the poster and paper competition. The winners will be notified at the Competition day on May 10th, 2012. In judging, the Awards Review Committee will consider the following participation:
- Originality and design of the investigation
- Quality of the data produced
- Suitability of the methods of analysis used
- Scientific value of the work
- Quality of the poster presentation
